At Next Chapter Counseling, our vision is to be THE trustworthy source of guidance, comfort, and resources to the aging community. As a counseling provider to individuals, families, and senior communities across the Charlotte and Lake Norman region, we have established a reputation of dependability, confidentiality, and impassioned behavioral health solutions.

- Being Heard: We believe our greatest skill in counseling is in how we listen and that our patients feel heard in how they are feeling and in what they may be going through. Oftentimes it can feel lonely amidst a challenge or transition being faced. Being heard is a validation of being understood, and through understanding solutions, empowerment and a feeling of hope and possibilities can emerge.
- Being an Advocate: We believe that one of the greatest roles that we play is as an advocate, a voice for someone who may not be able to speak for themselves, and a cheerleader in effecting positive outcomes through a growing support network and specialized training in gerontology.
- Being Solutions-focused: We believe to make things happen, to effect positive change, to resolve issues, or to navigate challenges, a solutions-focused mindset is essential. Being open-minded and having access to an expansive network of resources empowers us to empower you with options and alternatives.
- Continuous Learning: We believe every day and every situation is an opportunity to learn and grow in abilities to cope, enhance one’s life, and live with curiosity and wonder in every moment. We bring to each session tools and insights that can help you grow in understanding of yourself and your relationships.
- Life Balance: There are many stressors that can take your mental health hostage, and make your entire life feel out of balance and out of control. Our therapy embraces best practices and ways to bring a sense of balance back into your life one day and one step at a time.
